  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will serve as the Division Head for the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications - Navy (NC3-N) Division within the Office of the Chief Engineer, NAVWARSYSCOM in San Diego, CA.
    • You will report directly to the Assistant Chief Engineer for Mission Capability (SES). You will be the senior systems engineer leading a diverse team of technical experts providing oversight to the Navy's NC3 capabilities.
    • You will ensure effective and efficient implementation of systems and systems of systems engineering and integration (SOSE/I) policies and processes across NC3-N programs.
    • You will conduct capability and technology gap assessments to provide engineering prioritization of NC3 requirements within budget and cost.
    • You will develop and implement interface agreements, change control, and lead the Joint Configuration Control Board (JCCB) to maintain system baseline control and deliver integrated interoperable NC3 capability.
    • You will engage with Navy Labs and industry to oversee technically viable NC3 system development.
    • You will advise NC3-N leadership of system technical risks and options pertaining to program or project design and decisions, test planning and results, cybersecurity, and configuration management.

    Qualification Summary

    0801/1550 - Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Facilitating in network systems, communications systems, and applications that comprise NC3. 2210 - Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
