    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will serve as the Head of the Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT+E) Networks Branch (Code 82700).
    • You will supervise and provide managerial and administrative direction to engineers, computer scientists, and other IT professionals in the planning, organizing, directing and coordination of network system operation and network management efforts.
    • You will apply knowledge of fundamentals and principles of engineering sciences and mathematics, computer engineering, and the principles of computer hardware, software, and network systems architecture and integration.
    • You will manage development of engineering designs, network system engineering, managed network engineering solutions, and conduct independent network engineering analysis, verification and validation of network systems.
    • You will identify and address work unit workforce planning and management issues, such as recruitment, retention, and training.

    Qualification Summary

    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band NM-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing oversight for assigned network systems such as Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Wireless (WiFi), Secret Wide Area Network (SWAN), General Computing Backbone (GCB), Computer Network Infrastructure (CNI), and/or Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) Network Control Board (RNCB). Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
