The Excel Ventures Program is an intensive 10-week startup boot camp meant for aspiring entrepreneurs from leading academic institutions in the U.S., or recent graduates thereof, and promising young Israelis from elite technology units of the IDF. During the program, teams are formed and engage in a fast-paced venture creation process, leveraging Excel’s vast business network of entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders as they work on the development of innovative startups.

We are looking for outstanding and entrepreneurial Jewish American students and recent grads with leadership potential.

Excel Ventures Fellows are expected to work collaboratively in teams to ultimately create an early stage startup by the end of the summer. The program consists of several training modules, which include:

• Ideation and Team Formation
• Market Research, Customer Discovery & Idea Validation
• Product development - Building minimal viable product
• Marketing and Branding
• Business Strategy, Legal, Finance & Fundraising

The program is comprised of roughly 20% content in the form of workshops, lectures and office hours with Israel’s leading startup founders, venture capitalists and service providers.

Additionally, throughout the summer, Birthright Israel Excel Fellows attend meetings with distinguished Israeli leaders from business, technology, politics and philanthropic organizations on a broad range of topics including leadership, Jewish identity, the global economy, and teamwork. Upon completion of the summer programming Birthright Israel Excel Fellows participate in professional development and leadership opportunities to enhance their broadening global business outlook and capabilities.

Applicants apply for admission to the Class of 2019 Birthright Israel Excel Fellowship. Dates of the summer internship program are June 2, 2019 through August 9, 2019.

• Sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students or graduates up to 1 year post graduation.

Birthright Israel Excel is a non-profit organization providing a technological venture creation boot camp as well as a summer internship program in Israel for talented American Jewish college students who are pursuing careers in technology, finance, consulting, and biotech.

Each Birthright Israel Excel Fellow will create a technological venture or work in Israel for the summer months. travel to Israeli sites, meet with prominent members of the business, political and academic communities, and join an exclusive community of future global business and technology leaders. All expenses associated with flights, housing and group programming will be paid by Birthright Israel Excel.
