  • Responsibilities

    The Admissions Coordinator, International Student Exchange serves as a US State Department Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for Aspect Foundation and is responsible for liaising with foreign partners, screening and processing international student applications, coordinating visa issuance and student travel, providing excellent service, and attending to administrative matters for participants including host families, students, foreign partners, and USA staff/contractors.

    Responsibilities include:

    Overseas Partners

    • Serving as primary liaison with foreign partners
    • Communicating daily in English primarily via email
    • Establishing annual contracts and coordinating weekly enrollment projections
    • Participating in the screening, selection and training of new foreign partners
    • Working with the Finance Manager to invoice partners and track payments

    International Student Applicants

    • Coordinating the review, acceptance and distribution of student applications
    • Liaising with foreign partners to obtain missing or incomplete data
    • Handling specific requests (regional and state requests, specific family requests)
    • Coordinating the issuance and processing of visas
    • Inputting required data in the federal Student Exchange Visitor (SEVIS) database
    • As US State Department ARO, approving and signing student visas for international student travel

    USA Field Staff

    • Communicating regularly with USA placement team regarding student availability, online student profiles, and other administrative matters.
    • Other specific duties as assigned and as detailed in the Standard Operating Procedures Manual for the admissions department
  • Qualifications

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Superior time management and multi-tasking skills
    • Customer service experience
    • Computer skills, including database experience.
    • Experience working in an office environment; helpful team spirit
    • High energy, motivation and a genuine interest in the field
    • International and intercultural experience preferred
