  • Responsibilities

    Oliver Scholars fosters the development of the next generation of thought leaders, change-makers, and trailblazers. We are looking for a Bookkeeper/Office Coordinator to help ensure our office runs smoothly!

    Day to day to responsibilities include:

    • Keep the office clean, attractive, and well-stocked
    • Work with external vendors (e.g. the building management office, signage firms, copier firms, postage meter firms, stationary suppliers, etc.)
    • Purchase office supplies and furniture, office equipment, etc., for the entire staff in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions
    • Supervise the maintenance of office equipment, including copier, fax machine, etc.
    • Be responsible for the facilities day-to-day operations (office keys, access cards, etc.)
    • Participate as needed in special department projects
    • Ensure the effectiveness of all telecommunications and technological systems, resolving problems when they occur.
    • Serve as the liaison between IT Consultant and staff
    • Process cash receipts and cash disbursements
    • Post journal entries, perform monthly bank reconciliations, prepare monthly reports for Director of Finance
  • Qualifications
    • Bookkeeping degree or a min of 1-year experience in accounting related field
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Flexibility and a sense of humor when working in a fast paced environment.
    • Good communication (written, oral, interpersonal)
    • Team player and supportive of staff needs
    • Experience with MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; with proficient knowledge of Excel.
    • Knowledge of Fund EZ accounting software a plus.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Compensation
    $37,000 - $40,000 per year
