Business Intern, Jubilee Project, United Methodist Church
Intern will learn in depth urban ministry using asset-based approaches, church organization and finances, alternative economic models for community revitalization, small group ministry and financial education, neighborhood outreach and organizing, business startup and post launch skills.
Working with the ministry team to acquire new ministry opportunities in business and economics
Working with the ministry team to run, expand, and cultivate our ability to help start businesses via ministry
Participate and lead small group ministry
Work with the Ministry team in neighborhood outreach and community organizing
Work with the Ministry team on the organization and growth areas of the business side of the ministry
Work with the Ministry team on Marketing and advertising campaigns ministry
At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Must be a Christian
U.S. or Canadian citizen, U.S. or Canadian national or lawful permanent resident alien, or have a valid student or work visa
Able to make at least a one year (or summer) commitment (may be extended by mutual agreement)
Able to financially live on just free housing (and stipend if you opt for the One Year Paid Internship) and any outside income sources you have.
Able to relocate to a location of a ministry site (unless a site exists at your current location)
1-2 year internships program with hands-on nonprofit experience providing free tuition (undergrad or graduate).
