    We are seeking a motivated individual who thrives in a challenging environment and is committed to helping Savvy Ladies fulfill its mission to empower women through financial education. This individual must be ethical and hardworking, as well as have a passion for helping women achieve financial independence.

    The Communications & Social Media and Events Intern will report to the Executive Director. Responsibilities include: assisting the Director in all communications and marketing activities including updating all social media outlets, content research, designing and executing online marketing campaigns, monthly online newsletter, social media, and e-blasts. Support the Savvy Ladies team in the planning and execution of the annual fall gala.

    Intern candidate should be interested in skill development in the following areas:

    • Event Planning
    • Social media
    • Marketing
    • Communications
    • Public Relations
    • Online Research
    • Data management

    Learning Outcomes:

    • The Marketing & Social Media Intern will gain a well-rounded introduction to the importance of web marketing and PR in a non-profit environment.
    • Will understand the process of creating promotional material that can be used on multiple platforms.
    • Learn the skills of creating online engagement through e-blasts and other social media interaction on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, and website, leveraging other posting sites and working with partners to maximize the visibility and web traffic.
    • The Intern will build on existing marketing skills by focusing on consumer and corporate financial educational public relations approaches.

    Internship is for college credit only

    • Completed at least one year of college
    • Strong organization and time management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong multi-tasking abilities
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (not exclusive)

    • Working schedule will be minimum of 15 hours per week
