POSITION SUMMARY

Feeding Children Everywhere has a story worth telling! We’re looking for great storytellers to help us share our story through brand journalism, public relations, blogging and feature writing. This is an excellent opportunity to hone your writing and reporting skills, build an arsenal of clips and make a real difference in people’s lives. All interns have a unique opportunity to travel and help lead Hunger Projects across the United States! Hunger Projects are fun, high-energy events, where hundreds or even thousands of volunteers assemble healthy meals for hungry people.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Writing Compelling Stories About FCE’s Hunger Projects and Hunger Heroes
• Writing Press Releases & Sharing with Media Outlets
• Building Event, Registration and Fundraising Pages Online
• Brainstorming Editorial Ideas/Concepts
• Helping Lead Hunger Projects (HP)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• You know that an “inverted pyramid” isn’t something in Egypt: reporting experience
• You’re a bit of a word nerd: solid grammar chops and basic knowledge of AP style
• You’ve been around the block: you can provide samples of your writing
• You’re ready to spread your wings: willingness to travel to and participate in hp’s
• You’ve got a nose for news: ability to sniff out great story leads
