The Development Intern will maintain a pulse on the nonprofit sector by conducting funder research and writing internal concept ideas drawing on their knowledge and understanding of the field and internal TS goals and projects.

• Maintaining a pulse on current tech for good trends and providing insights and due diligence regarding relevant partnerships and funding opportunities

• Prospective funder research, including digesting and reporting on fundraising opportunities

• Assist in the drafting and editing of high-quality content, including funding proposals, concept papers, and reports that further TS philanthropic goals

• Creating an internal dev newsletter that contains the happenings of TS dev and any cool news stories about TS or donors that are of interest.

• Microsoft Office

• Diplomacy and teamwork.

• Technical/functional skills needed:

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

• Interact in a professional manner with a wide variety of people.

• Ability to graciously accept feedback and incorporate into the intern’s work.

• Social networking and non-profit knowledge preferred but not required

• Writing and editing skills with a desire to improve these skills throughout the internship period

• Basic online research skills, especially the ability to locate necessary data to strengthen project proposals and concept notes
