About Electric League of Arizona (ELA)

ELA is a not-for-profit trade association founded in 1960, operating within the electrical and energy management industries. ELA offers a variety of services including education, industry news, joint utility energy programs, contractor referral programs, and advocacy for consumers.

The Online Marketing Intern will assist the organization in growing and strengthening brand identity and awareness for the latter two programs, the ELA Consumer Council referral programs and consumer advocacy.

Core Objectives: Practical learning experiences through a well-rounded, in-depth working knowledge of all facets of online marketing: Social Media, Email Marketing, Search Engine Marketing, Content Marketing, SEO, Branding, and Web Analytics.

Internship Description:

• Create marketing collateral (ad copy, landing page/blog content, images, videos)
• Assist with Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns such as Google Adwords
• Help maintain community engagement for Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, and Blogs)
• Learn Email Marketing essentials for campaign management
• Learn SEO essentials to drive website traffic
• Creative brainstorm sessions with Marketing Department to help develop new content and ideas for engaging current and potential customers online
• Perform marketing research through web analytics and competitive analysis

Requirements:

• Junior or higher in college pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related
• Enthusiastic and passionate about learning online marketing
• Creative and innovative thinker
• Good creative and business writing skills
• Good communication skills
• Well organized and excellent attention to detail
• Needs to have good analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suites especially MS Word and MS Excel
