Working closely with the Membership and Marketing Manager, the Event Planning Intern will provide general and logistical support on projects related to Alliance for Girls’ year-round workshops and member events including the 6th Annual Conference in May 2018.
This internship offers a dynamic opportunity to gain experience in event planning and coordination, volunteer management, community organizing and working at a rapidly growing non-profit.
Prospective candidates should be undergraduate or graduate students or recent graduates who are passionate about girls’ and women’s issues and are interested in gaining experience in coordinating a variety of events.
Ideal candidates are self-starters, organized, entrepreneurial, have strong communication skills, are comfortable making phone calls and delegating, and have some experience organizing events.
A valid driver’s license and access to a car are recommended but not required.
