    Part-Time (Based on 17.5-24 hours a week)

    This internship opportunity includes a stipend.

    BASIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    In collaboration with EPM, develop and execute:

    • Overall strategy and content for social media
    • Create social media targeting plan including timeline and topics for postings
    • Keep track of exactly how to format content for every social network, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
    • Create customized post/content for each platform using Canva and/or InDesign/Photoshop.
    • Keep track of large social media campaigns on a monthly basis.
    • Coordinate with other staff in the office on social media and email communications.
    • Track performance and plan for future posts.

    Sponsors, Exhibitor, and Advertiser (SEA) Management:

    • Identify and Manage mailing list of SEAs
    • Collaborate with EPM to sell and “upsell” SEA opportunities
    • Maintain detailed communication with potential SEAs
    • Collect organization (SEA) descriptions and program advertisements
    • Coordinate giveaways and flyers (marketing materials) produced/provided by SEAs
    • Setup, breakdown, registration, and ongoing troubleshooting days-of event (April 29-May 1, 2020)

    Coordinate production of:

    • Exhibitor map
    • Templates for the program book, exhibitor evaluation form, PPT Slide Deck of Sponsors, and Premier Exhibitors
    • Major sponsor signage
    • Ad placements in the program book
    • Prize drawing

    Additionally:

    • Reconcile accounting of SEA income in collaboration with EPM and Finance Manager
    • Summarize and report out exhibitor evaluations
    • Develop evaluation feedback report on Symposium 2020
    • Draft thank you letters to all SEAs
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE

    Sales planning and implementation, verbal communication skills and sales techniques, marketing for trade shows, customer service, and vendor relations, basic graphic design know-how, trade show setup, and onsite coordination.

    EXPERIENCE

    Prior work in trade-show and advertising sales and marketing preferred and vendor set-up and coordination preferred.
