Fall Internship - University Without Walls (Connecting with Seniors)
DOROT offers semester or year-long internships for college students interested in careers in non-profit management, community organizing, social work and working with older adults.
DOROT’s University Without Walls (UWW) program offers hundreds of teleconference programs, appealing to a wide range of interests – all over the telephone. Our goal is to provide older adults with opportunities for lifelong learning and social connection. The intern with assist the University Without Walls team to ensure the program run as smoothly as possibly. This will include several research tasks to find new partners and facilitators, as well as gathering feedback to inform future programming decisions.
The UWW intern's role will include, (but is not be limited to), the following tasks:
Gathering Client feedback through Questionnaires
Assisting with Shared Program Calendar Data Entry in Outlook
Researching for potential facilitators
Conducting research for potential community partners
Completing data entry in Salesforce
Assisting seniors who are visually impaired with the program registration process

Preferred hours are: Anytime 9:30am-5pm (Eastern) Monday - Thursday and until 3pm on Friday; must include Wednesdays 2pm-3pm (typically interns work 8-10 hours/week) This internship is a remote experience.
The UWW intern should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Strong written and verbal skills
Excellent data tracking skills
Experience with Excel, Microsoft Office Suite
