Fundraising and Event Planning Intern
This internship is for students who are natural networkers and enjoy creating effective strategies for engaging donors and planning events. You want to help mobilize the power of donors in support of the Red Cross mission.
Based on your interests, career and educational goals you may focus on one or more of the following projects:
Help the Individual and Foundation Partnerships team with conducting in-depth research on foundation and poverty statistics, analyzing prospective foundation partnerships and prospect research of individuals.
If you're interested in non-profit fundraising with a focus on Corporate Donors, you'll be helping with vendor support, donor/philanthropic research and follow up, drafting outreach and stewardship materials and inputting key data into the Salesforce database.
For the Strategic Pursuits team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Senior Director of Development and other members of the fundraising team in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of significant corporate and foundation partners.
If your interests lie in legacy giving, you can assist in continuously discovering new prospects willing to put the Red Cross in their Will or estate plan, including individuals willing to fund a planned gift between $10k to $1mil.
In our Greenwich, CT headquarters, you'll assist the Regional Philanthropy Officer, based in Greenwich, CT. with fundraising and special events in our Metro New York North Chapter.
