  • Responsibilities

    Note: This is an unpaid internship. Academic credit is available upon request.

    Our Family Coalition advances equity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) families with children through support, education, and advocacy.

    Our Family Support Programs serve LGBTQ families and their children with over 150 workshops, support groups, and community-building events every year.

    Responsibilities

    • Support Family Programs team with graphic layout/design of promotional/marketing materials including flyers, brochures, emails, web pages, social media posts, exhibit graphics, digital graphics, presentations, videos, and more using OFC design guide and template.
    • Collaborate and communicate with Family Programs team on conceptual ideas to produce inclusive and elegant design solutions.
    • Juggle multiple graphic design projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations.
    • Special graphic design projects as assigned.

  • Qualifications
    • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in collaboration with a team.
    • Strong graphic design skills and experience using graphic design tools, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Publisher.
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
    • Have strong visual skills with careful attention to detail.
    • Quick learner with the ability to take initiative, prioritize and be flexible when necessary.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of and/or commitment to LGBTQ equality & social justice.

    Interns are accepted on an on-going, as needed basis. Minimum 2 month commitment; 4-16 hours/week; start/end date flexible. Our office is located in San Francisco, with some flexibility to work remotely.
