Grassroots Organizing and Policy Internship in NYC
Open Primaries represents a movement of Americans working to end partisanship and polarization in politics through reform of the primary election system. We advocate for open, nonpartisan primary systems, counter efforts to impose closed primaries and build coalitions of activists across the country. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the American people and government by creating more platforms for voters’ voices to be heard.
Open Primaries is seeking an intern dedicated to a career in political reform who is well-organized, highly motivated undergraduates eager to gain hands-on experience at a grassroots non-profit. This internship is a part-time placement with a minimum of 15 hours/week, to start May 2017. A monthly $400 travel stipend will be provided.
The intern will be assisting with research and outreach for several upcoming campaigns, as well as providing administrative support as needed. Being that we are a start-up organization, our internships encompass a wide range of duties including policy analysis, social media communications, and campaign organizing.
