Internship for College Students - Intergenerational Programming
DOROT’s Intergenerational Program Engagement Dept. (IPE) is seeking a college level intern to assist with their virtual programming, bringing older adults and teens together for meaningful partnerships and collaborations. This individual would provide support to the IPE Team by:
• Co-facilitating and collaborating with DOROT staff on weekly discussion groups and virtual visits
• Assisting with program recruitment efforts
• Tracking participating data in the Salesforce Database
• Giving technical and other support to older adults and teens, as needed
The ideal candidate has a warm and welcoming personality and is eager to work with older adults and teens, having them build on these connections.
Preferred hours are: 3pm-6pm Eastern, Monday – Thursday (typically interns work 8-10 hours/week)
DOROT alleviates social isolation among the elderly and provides services to help them live independently as valued members of the community. We serve the Jewish and wider community, bringing the generations together in a mutually beneficial partnership of elders, volunteers and professionals. Our work provides an effective model for others.
