• Responsible for planning and delivering thee meals and one snack a day for up to 165 people
• Leads and delegates with the kitchen staff team (a kitchen manager and seven kitchen assistants)
• Responsible for cooking, food ordering, budgeting, inventory, ensuring health standards compliance, staff supervision and scheduling, and creating and documenting kitchen processes
• Responsible for recipe and menu creation, scheduling, team management, and process evaluation and development
• Enjoys finding creative solutions to complex scenarios, where meals must accommodate a variety of allergies and dietary preferences

• Passion for overseeing the creation of fresh, organic, often local, from-scratch food
• Leader and collaborator with strengths in communication and delegation
• Hold to strong ServSafe practice and a refined awareness of possibilities for cross-contamination
• Experience with menu planning, ordering, and creating a variety of various nutritious options daily
• Passion for motivating and teaching others how to spice up dishes while adding new flair and personality
• Exceptional ability to oversee multiple projects at once

Housing and meals are provided. Live in a cabin, yurt, or even a tree house! Meals are made fresh, locally sourced, and organic.

Work, play, learn, struggle and grow in a vibrant community this summer facilitating the growth of children, yourself and others in the community. Just because you can get a job at any camp, doesn’t mean that you want a job at any camp. Camp Augusta is different than most camps because we operate on a structure of flat hierarchy, consensus and intention with every action. We also have many activities that you are unlikely to find at other camps.
