Description

We are looking for a creative, impact-driven marketer to join us in our mission of supporting entrepreneurs building technology to accelerate social impact. This individual will play a critical role in developing the product marketing strategy alongside Fast Forward’s Director of Marketing & Communications and will have a hand in all aspects of marketing and communications.

Fast Forward is a small, tight-knit team of passionate doers and problem solvers leveraging the power of the tech community to support tech nonprofit entrepreneurs. Our products and programs connect job candidates, volunteers, and donors to over 300 tech-based nonprofits.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting all day-to-day marketing functions, which include public relations, branding, digital marketing, email marketing, social media, content creation, event planning, and video production. As Fast Forward expands the breadth of its programs and products - like the Job Board, Directory, and Tech for Good Fund - the marketing coordinator will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to create and implement the product marketing strategy. Ideal candidates will be creative problem solvers with excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience with digital marketing and analytics.

The Marketing Coordinator should feel comfortable working directly with everyone from funders and tech nonprofit founders, to Summit speakers and press.

This position is based in the Presidio in San Francisco, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Fast Forward blog, from brainstorming content ideas to interviewing founders to authoring posts and syndicating them across social media
  • Support planning and execution of Fast Forward’s 2-day summit, Accelerate Good Global.
  • Responsibilities include creating digital marketing materials, managing invite list, coordinating speakers and production schedule, managing creative elements, brainstorming content, managing sponsors, and day-of event management
  • Collaboratively create and implement Fast Forward’s product marketing strategy, beginning with the Job Board and Tech for Good Fund
  • Support digital marketing efforts, including maintaining and editing Fast Forward’s Google AdWords campaigns and running strategic social media advertising campaigns
  • Augment Fast Forward’s key press announcements by leading ongoing strategic press outreach based on current events, founder stories, and the success of our portfolio companies
  • Assist in creation and implementation of Fast Forward’s email marketing, including introductory drip campaigns, funder engagement, and monthly newsletter
  • Support for branding elements such as website copy, pitch decks, email templates, and advertising copy
  • Manage social media presence across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Support for video production, including writing scripts, creative direction, and managing 3rd party contractors
  • Contribute to communications/marketing mentorship for current cohort and alumni

Qualifications

  • Passionate about the intersection of technology and impact
  • Experience running digital marketing campaigns. Expertise in Google AdWords and Analytics is a plus.
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written (please share 2-3 writing samples)
  • A love for planning events
  • Good with people and building relationships
  • Skilled at managing multiple simultaneous projects
