    POSITION SUMMARY

    This role is vital for helping open and develop the Southwest region of Feeding Children Everywhere. Operations interns handle a variety of responsibilities from establishing partner relationships to aiding in the logistics of day to day warehouse operation. There are opportunities to learn the ins-and-outs of a dynamic nonprofit organization, initiate new programs, improve verbal communication abilities, and build relationships through networking and empowering the community. Duties could also include interacting with clients and volunteers in a professional manner, and coordinating project set up and breakdown.

    All interns will help empower and mobilize volunteers at Hunger Projects across the United States. Hunger Projects are large, high-energy events, where anywhere from hundreds to thousands of volunteers assemble healthy meals for hungry children.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    First and foremost, empowering, mobilizing, and connecting with PEOPLE.

    Supporting & Traveling to Hunger Projects

    • Pre/Post Event Logistics, including Set Up and Breakdown
    • Post Event Sanitation of Products

    Researching and Proposing Potential Partners

    • Corporate Partners, Church/Religious Partners, Universities/Schools/Clubs

    Assist in Establishing Contact with Potential Partners

    • Scheduling Warm Calls/Appointments
    • Connection Follow Ups

    Relationship Development

    • Writing Proposals
    • Gathering Project Information
    • Sitting in on Initial Calls with Strategic Partnership Manager
    • Attending Networking Functions

    Office Management/Warehouse Support

    • Maintaining Inventory & Purchasing Materials
    • Cost Analysis & Correspondence with FCE’s Finance Department
    • Vendor Relationships
    • Helping Oversee Facilities and Cleaning Procedures
    • Helping Load/Unload Shipments
