Partnership Assistant Intern
The National Partnership Office of the USDA Forest Service is looking for local candidates for the partnership assistant intern that will be focused on the following location’s need for collaborative efforts with partners. The International Institute of Tropical Forestry is requiring assistance in the support and execution of on-going collaborative efforts with local and national partners.
Office administrative needs may manifest into different responsibilities such as internal meeting participation (basic communicative skills), technological use (Microsoft Office 2010) and basic document editing. Candidates are expected to be able to coordinate a meeting of the IITF Conservation Education Committee to follow up on IITF Conservation Education Strategic Plan. Also, follow up on the implementation of Project Learning Tree in Puerto Rico and collecting data and facts and prepare briefs (success stories) for the IITF Highlights Report.
Location Description
IITF Headquarters are located in the UPR Botanical Gardens in Río Piedras. The International Institute of Tropical Forestry (the Institute) is a tropical forestry research and technology transfer institute. The Institute has been a leader in tropical forestry research, technology transfer and technical assistance throughout the world and we are celebrating our 75th anniversary in 2014.
