  • Responsibilities

    Your internship would be spent working with a variety of folks performing their day-to-day duties on a National Wildlife Refuge, mostly with a biologist. You would be exposed to all the Potomac River National Wildlife Refuge Complex has to offer.

    Your duties would be as follows:

    • Support the Wildlife Biologist with several surveys (Integrated Waterbird Monitoring and Management,
    • Resident Bat Inventory & Monitoring,
    • Vegetation Sampling, etc.)
    • Data entry
    • Mapping invasive species and carrying out work days: and other duties as assigned.
    • Having a car is a necessity.

    • Car required with valid drivers license.
    • A minor in Biology or extensive experience.
  • Compensation
    Living allowance of $160 per week, a one time travel expense of $1100, and housing provided. Eligible for half time AmeriCorps Education Award for $2900.
