Public Health interns assist with the implementation of Foundation programs as we work to develop a model of care for people affected by cancer that is comprehensive and "patient-centered." This includes researching and working with healthcare professionals and patients around the country to create a cancer care model that empowers patients and their families and places their needs, preferences, and values first. Responsibilities include: researching organizations and cancer hospitals delivering innovative cancer care practices, communicating with members of the cancer community (academics, researchers, healthcare providers, patients, policy makers, etc.), writing for blogs and professional publications, and assisting with planning and implementation of major symposiums and conferences. This internship is ideal for someone with a strong interest in public health, outstanding organization, research, verbal and written communication skills.
