Next Door’s mission is to build a community where ambitious people can have the courage to be the best version of themselves. Our internship program, solar/energy efficiency company and non-profit work together to create an environment that allows this to happen. The internship puts college students in challenging real-world situations where they must learn how to effectively communicate, problem solve, work with teammates and lead. Students learn how to market a sustainable non-profit and a solar/energy efficiency company while educating homeowners on government programs that allow them to go green while saving money. Top interns are taken on a trip to Nepal where they get a once in a lifetime opportunity to put solar panels on a school in a village that does not have electricity. • About Us

Next Door Worldwide is a charity that is on a mission to develop leaders in our community through meaningful work that truly makes a difference in people's lives.

This is done in 3 ways:

    1. Make a dent in the single biggest killer of humans in the world today: water-borne disease. NDWW has committed to paying for a solar water farm that will provide access to clean water for up to 35,000 people per day in Kenya.

    2. Help potential leaders in other parts of the world get access to better education. NDWW has committed to installing a solar system on a school in Nepal that currently does not have access to electricity or the internet.

    3. Help future leaders here in our community obtain two of the most important leadership traits: experience and perspective. NDWW gives college students a platform where they can raise money for a meaningful cause...and then actually experience the impact of their hard work by traveling to Nepal and meeting the families in the village that they are helping. The experience of working on a team towards a noble goal combined with the experience of traveling to a 3rd world country and meeting the people that they are helping, will help our team members find their calling and make an even bigger impact when they get home.

Marketing Interns learn leadership and marketing through hands on work that actually makes an impact.

Next Door Worldwide is funded by Next Door Home Upgrades - Our solar and energy efficiency company NDHU inspires homeowners to make better decisions when it comes to how they buy their electricity. We do this by connecting homeowners with programs that allow them to go green and save money without having to invest any money.
