Girls Who Invest, Inc. (GWI) is seeking 4 undergraduate or graduate students to serve as Resident Assistants for our 2019 GWI Summer Intensive Program, a four-week program taking place at the University of Pennsylvania. This is a paid position, with the opportunity to participate in Girls Who Invest’s innovative finance and investment curriculum, meet industry veterans, visit leading investment firms, and earn valuable work experience. RAs will live in the dormitories with the GWI Scholars from either May 28-June 23 at Penn.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Providing residential support to students in the GWI Summer Intensive Program as needed
• Facilitating community among students in the GWI Summer Intensive Program
• Supporting the Program Coordinator in smoothly executing each day’s scheduled programming
• Assisting GWI staff with administrative needs, such as printing materials and purchasing lunch for guest speakers
• Attending all site visits and any required weekend and/or evening events
• If relevant, collaborating with GWI Teaching Assistants to provide educational assistance to GWI Scholars requesting additional help with class material
• Updating Whova, GWI’s event management app, with important communication
• Creating content for GWI to be used across multiple platforms, such as print ads, flyers, email newsletters, reports, website, and social media:
• Developing and execute visual communication, including graphics and design layouts
• Writing and editing original content
• Capturing and editing photos and videos of the educational programming, site visits and other events

• Ideal candidates will be interested in finance or investment management and passionate about mentoring their peers and providing support to talented and ambitious young women.

• Candidates from all U.S. universities are encouraged to apply, as travel to/from campus is covered by Girls Who Invest for RAs who are not already based in Philadelphia, PA.

• In addition to residential and coordination responsibilities, we are seeking candidates with multifaceted skills in visual or written content creation and marketing to aid in our social media efforts while on campus.

• Applicants must reach the age of 21 on or before May 27, 2019, must have US work authorization.

Highly recommended:

• Photography, videography, graphic design, and/or content creation experience.

Highly desirable:

• Peer support or mentoring experience.
