  • Responsibilities

    The Nassau Comprehensive Employment Services (N-CES) team provides vocational services to assist client’s to achieve their employment goals. Services include providing assessment, training, job search and placement services, retention, and career advancement.

    To focus and provide clients with career counseling and career decision making assistance to ensure the achievement of their employment goals. Assist clients with identifying career opportunities pre- and post-employment.

  • Qualifications
    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required
    • 3 years of related job experience working with individuals with barriers to employment, preferably in vocational assessment
    • Some knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations relating to individuals with barriers to employment within the TANF welfare system
    • Proven ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from lower priority tasks, focusing on the most value added projects
    • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and organizational skills; Analytical skills to find solutions to difficult situations; Team Player with energetic and enthusiastic personality.
    • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Must be able to conduct employability assessments, recruitment and intake, and job readiness workshops

    $40,000
