    Product Services Lines looking for R&D Mechanical Engineering Interns:

    • Completion Tools
    • Cementing

    What you'll do…

    Interns have real company projects that are assigned during the summer. Projects you could potentially work on include (but not limited to):

    • Fluid Mechanics for studies in well bore flow and surface equipment optimization
    • Fluid Dynamics for multi-phase flow hydraulic modeling on fluids thru and return from subsurface pipes in wellbore
    • Heat Transfer for numerical simulation of cooling system with lab test characterization on rig-site rotary equipment

    What you need to know…

    • Design mechanical components, subsystems, and systems under senior engineer guidance
    • Select appropriate components for assemblies based on performance evaluation
    • Experience with tolerance stackups and knowledge of ASME Y14.5
    • Hands on experience testing and troubleshooting
    • Support design with engineering analysis and calculations: mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and fluid dynamics.
    • Experimental or Modeling DOE on Plugs / Barrier Systems
    • Create sketches and manufacturing drawings using Solidworks
    • Perform FEA analysis

    Characteristics…

    • Excellent understanding of engineering principles (all subjects of mechanical engineering)
    • Working Knowledge in Solidworks, CAE, Ansys a plus
    • Knowledge of electrical engineering is a plus
    • Pressure vessel design a plus
    • Strong communication & presentation skills
