    We have an exciting opening for an Entry Software Developer to join our Technology organization. As one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry, we attract and retain top talent by investing in our employees and empowering them to develop themselves and their careers. 

    Developing software for an upstream oil and gas industry can be very challenging due to various environments under which it has to work flawlessly. We are in the midst of our journey of digital transformation and automation of our services. We are looking for highly talented software developers who can contribute to this exciting journey. You will be instrumental in helping facilitate the development of highly efficient, highly reliable, fault-tolerant scalable solutions to satisfy those objectives. Projects will be diverse and will directly affect the operation and effectiveness of field operations. 

    Under the guidance of a Software Architect, you'll be responsible for: 

    • Researching, creating and help drive new innovative software applications and components
    • Contribute to the documentation and delivery of software  
    • Adhere to coding standards as set by the team lead  
    • Develop applications, debugging, and testing new software application 
    • Proactively learning about new technologies  
    • Defect fixing of their own code and other developer’s codes as required  
    • Work with stakeholders, product owner, architect, and others to understand software requirements and design.

      

    What You’ll Bring to Our Team

    **Required Qualifications: **

    • Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
    • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

    **Desired Qualifications: **

    • Prior intern, co-op, or research experience
    • Strong analytical and technical skills
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
    • The minimum education requirement for this position is a BS in Computer Science or a similar discipline. However, an advanced degree in Computer Science is preferred. If you exceed the minimum job requirements, you may receive consideration for higher-level roles based on your experience, additional job requirements, and/or business needs.
