    What You’ll Do…

    This position is located in Houston, TX. Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.

    The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time in-person internships. The summer 2026 internship is expected to begin on May 17, 2026.

    **Your Key Responsibilities: **

    • Support drilling and well construction workflows within Landmark software solutions, including well planning, engineering, and execution support.
    • Assist in analyzing well designs, trajectories, casing/liner programs, hydraulics, torque & drag, and operational constraints using Landmark drilling applications.
    • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and domain experts to translate petroleum engineering requirements into digital and SaaS-based solutions.
    • Participate in data analysis and validation of drilling and operational datasets to support planning accuracy and decision-making.
    • Contribute to product benchmarking, workflow optimization, and best-practice documentation for drilling software users.
    • Support customer-facing use cases, including onboarding, workflow configuration, and feedback collection to improve product usability and value.
    • Assist in developing technical insights, presentations, and recommendations for internal teams and leadership.
    • Gain exposure to high-visibility digital drilling initiatives and interact with Landmark leadership and engineering teams.
    • Act as a product advocate for a SaaS business company to benchmark and implement best practices to successfully deploy and support Cloud products.
    • Put forward a plan for seamless SaaS products implementation and users’ onboarding, effective support of Cloud based products and continuous improvement.
    • Put forward a recommendation and a plan to increase the revenue for this product in this space in the next 3 years.
    • Work in the Product Management and Business Development organization to better understand product offerings.
    • Collaborate with Landmark executives and gain leadership experience while working on a high-visibility product.

    What You’ll Bring to Our Team

    **Required Qualifications: **

    • Strong understanding of drilling engineering fundamentals, including well planning, casing design, hydraulics, torque & drag, and drilling operations.
    • Familiarity with engineering calculations, technical analysis, and interpretation of well data.
    • Ability to work with digital tools and datasets to support engineering decisions.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reasoning skills.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, Geophysics, Physics, or a closely related discipline.
    • Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
    • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

    **Desired Qualifications: **

    • Exposure to Landmark, Halliburton, or similar drilling and well planning software through coursework, projects, or internships.
    • Familiarity with digital well planning, drilling automation, or real-time drilling workflows.
    • Experience working with drilling data such as trajectories, daily drilling reports, BHA data, or time-based operational metrics.
    • Basic proficiency with data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Python, MATLAB, or similar).
    • Interest in digital transformation, SaaS solutions, and the application of technology to petroleum engineering problems.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and software teams.
    • A self-starter mindset with curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn complex systems and workflows.
    • Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, internships, research, or student organizations.

    Relocation

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

    • Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.
    • Relocation assistance.

    Salary Range: $26/hour for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree; $31/hour for students pursuing a Master’s; $36/hour for those pursuing a PhD
