    • Wireline & Perforating

    What you'll do...

    Interns will be assigned a part of the ongoing tool development project: Projects you could potentially work on include:

    • Develop and test embedded firmware for the tool
    • Develop and test power supplies for downhole application
    • Develop and test digital control boards
    • Develop test setup for testing of downhole tool
    • Develop hardware-in-the-loop simulator and perform testing on it
    • Develop plant and controller models in Simulink

    What you need to know...

    • Working knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and terminology of electrical engineering
    • Assembly and C experience on Micro Controllers
    • Low level communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART)
    • PC applications that communicate with embedded processors
    • Programming: C, C# and Python
    • Knowledge of various topologies of AC/DC or DC/DC power electronics based converters
    • Advanced familiarity with lab equipment as oscilloscope, impedance analyzers, multimeters, data acquisition systems etc.
    • Demonstrated skills in developing scrips and models using Matlab/Simulink
    • Control system fundamentals
    • Demonstrated skills in analog, digital, or power electronics circuit design and in embedded systems programming
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Work Authorization: We cannot accept students on a J1 visa

    GPA Requirement: 3.2 and above

    Majors: Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering. Degrees – Bachelors/Masters/PhD
