    What You’ll Do…

    These positions are located at our R&D Facilities in Duncan, Ok.  Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.  

    The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time hybrid internships.  The summer 2024 internship is expected to begin on May 20, 2024.  

    **Your Key Responsibilities: **

    **Projects you could potentially work on include: **

    • Research, create and help drive new materials selection for on and off shore oil field equipment
    • Contribute to failure investigations of materials from field operations
    • Interpret and assist materials lab in analysis of materials for production and failed parts
    • Support manufacturing by developing raw material specifications, weld specifications/qualification, and thermal material processing
    • Work with project team to understand material requirements needed for their application

     

    What You’ll Bring to Our Team

    **Required Qualifications: **

    • Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
    • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
    • Degree in Metallurgical Engineering 
    • Working knowledge of metallic materials and processes as applied to forgings, castings, welding fabricated parts, and other components
    • Ability & desire to work with a multi-disciplinary (electrical, mechanical & software) team

      

    **Desired Qualifications: **

    • Prior intern, co-op, or research experience
    • Strong analytical and technical skills
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-motivated and results-oriented  
    • Strong problem-solving abilities  
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

    • Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.

    **Salary Range: $26 - $31/hour **
