• Under strict supervision, supports hunting and fishing trips for inidividuals and groups in support of client entertainment and operational requirements
• Plans itinerary for hunting and fishing trips applying knowledge of countryside to determine best routes and sites
• May transport people, equipment, and supplies to hunting and fishing areas
• Explains hunting and fishing laws to ensure compliance
• Instructs members of party in use of hunting or fishing gear
• Administers first aid to injured individuals
• Assists with facilities, grounds, and equipment maintenance and repairs as required
• Provides support in other departments of the lodge including housekeeping and kitchen as required.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization
• Skills are typically acquired through 10 plus years experience in hunting, fishing, and camping in the outdoor recreation and guide industry
• Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
