Editorial or Marketing Director of Spoon University Chapter
Calling all marketers, writers, photographers, video producers and future entrepreneurs! Are you passionate about food and health? Curious about journalism, photography and video, social media or marketing?
Join Spoon University, a food & wellness publication with college chapters around the world that work like student publications — except with the training, resources and network of an international community. We help college students just like you to bring Spoon to your campus and build your own food & wellness publication with a local team of content creators and marketers.
Our alumni have gone to work at companies like Google, BuzzFeed, The New York Times, and LinkedIn.
What does the process to starting a chapter look like?
You attend an online info session to learn more about founding a Spoon chapter at your school.
You apply for the leadership role that best suits your skills and interests.
Spend 2 weeks recruiting your fellow leaders and founding members.
The leadership team attends a live online training where you learn how to lead the chapter.
You and your chapter create content to launch your campus-specific Spoon website, build a social media presence and start promoting on campus.
Joining Spoon can be pretty life-changing. But don’t take it from us - hear it directly from our Spoon founders…
“My college experience would not be the same without Spoon, and I mean that wholeheartedly. Not only did I find a community of people who have become some of my dearest friends, curate my voice in an ever noisy digital world, and rediscover my passion for creating content — visual and written, I also learned how to lead a team, communicate effectively, and work with different leadership styles.” - Jocelyn Hsu, Creative Director, University of California - Berkeley
“Spoon has helped me to establish and to hone in on my authentic writing voice, and that voice is something I’m not always able to express in my academic work. My writing voice is something I’ve come to own and to love, and it’s what makes my writing sound like me. Becca Soverinsky, Editorial Director, University of Michigan
