  • Responsibilities

Freelancers work closely with our editorial team for 2-15 hrs/week to identify, research, and map the arguments on both sides of the most hotly-debated issues in politics, business & tech, and culture. This primarily involves:

    • Finding and reading through news articles and editorials on the issue
    • Synthesizing the key arguments (pro and con) on both sides
    • Visually organizing these arguments with a simple and intuitive mapping tool that we will show you how to use
    • Revising your map based on feedback from our editorial team

  • Qualifications

Most top candidates have a background in debate, philosophy, political science and/or journalism. We're especially seeking candidates with strong skills in reasoning and argument analysis who write precisely and concisely, and who are excited about ThoughtFull and our mission.

Writers must also be able to reliably meet publishing deadlines (we can work with your schedule to establish reasonable deadlines). Applicants will be asked to complete a short (10 min) online assessment of reasoning abilities.

You'll also get hands-on experience working in a brand-new startup, and we will work one-on-one with you to develop your logical reasoning, argument comprehension and analytical writing skills, which will benefit you in a variety of academic disciplines and life in general.
