Temerity Media is seeking a Social Media Manager to plan, manage and measure all social marketing efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of social media, their unique communities and a natural desire to connect with the broader social media world and live in it day-to-day. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and maintain our social media marketing plan and strategy
• Manage and grow our social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more
• Explore new/existing networks, communities and audiences on sites such as Reddit, StumbleUpon, Medium and others
• Develop and manage partnerships to expand social audiences and support content strategies
• Work closely with editors to understand the content calendar and editorial voice
• Identify and source trends and stories on social for the editorial team
• Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities
• Monitor trends, strategies and best practices in market and applying knowledge to Temerity Media social media initiatives
• Track and monitor the effectiveness of social initiatives (i.e. reach, engagement, referrals), and oversee development and distribution of reports
• Educate staff around the implementation of new social tactics, trends and technologies
• Ensure continuity in social channels and messaging across the team and contributors
• Using social to discover sources for editorial team
• Manage social media interns to assist you in daily activities

• 3+ years of relevant social media work experience; media industry preferred
• Experience using and communicating in social networks, blogs, and content sharing communities including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, YouTube, etc.
• Have a successful track record of growing social media presences and reach
• Be proficient with analytics tools
• Have experience using social management platforms
• Ability to switch between day-to-day and big picture
• Self-motivated, hands-on approach
