Summer 2021 Product & Design Internship
This position is entirely virtual but candidates will be expected to work in Princeton, NJ, New York, NY or Minneapolis, MN if a full-time offer is extended at the end of the internship.
The opportunity to work in teams like our WSJ storytelling group, whose mission is to create new, engaging ways for audiences to experience the Journal’s content. The team will amplify and partner in our journalism, driving toward our goals of increasing reach and engagement, and push the boundaries of how we tell stories. When it comes to our article pages, Storytelling will focus on the elements that involve content (e.g. headline, body, featured multimedia, related links) and our partners in Audience Touchpoints will continue managing other aspects of the front-end templates (e.g. advertising, site navigation, subscription integration, video player).
This new team rounds out the Content Experiences group, which also includes Newsroom Tools, CMS and Innovation. The four teams will be working together and across the organization to serve our audiences and our newsroom, building useful and innovative products and tools.
About the role:
The internship position will include working on new and existing capabilities, including our content management system, our content API and our web and mobile rendering platforms.
