    About the Role:

    We are looking for an Accessibility Intern to help us integrate our accessibility practice into the UX process from concept to delivery across our Consumer and B2B portfolios, which include The Wall Street Journal, the Barron’s Group, Factiva, Risk & Compliance and Investors Business Daily.

    You are committed to accessible and inclusive design, and are keen to learn how to integrate accessibility holistically within our digital projects. You will help us define best practices and guidelines, partner with product development and research teams to understand the needs of our users with disabilities and collaborate with designers and developers to create scalable and accessible solutions.

    You will be part of an interesting and rewarding internship experience across many teams and products within Dow Jones.

    This role is hybrid, based in our Princeton, NJ or New York City office.

    You Will:

    • Contribute to initiatives across Dow Jones to inform and educate on the importance of and best practices for digital accessibility

    • Create and maintain documentation concerning Dow Jones’ accessibility standards and best practices

    • Create and maintain digital compliance documentation including Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs)

    • Help us write accessibility use cases and detailed requirements

    You Have:

    • Some understanding of WCAG and ARIA guidelines

    • An interest to learn more about defining accessibility requirements and testing, and conducting audits and writing VPATs

    • Interest or experience conducting or helping to design user research and testing focusing on accessibility issues

    • Great communication skills

    • Good attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

    • Completed at least 2 years of your undergraduate degree or are pursuing a graduate degree
