Visual Journalism Internship with Barron’s Summer 2022
Barron’s is growing its visuals team and as part of that mission, we’re adding summer interns on our visuals team. The team's current mission is setting a new visual standard for the brand across all touchpoints, as we look to grow our audience among new and younger audiences, while still maintaining the sophistication and standards our loyal audience depends on.
We’re looking for junior, senior or recent graduates that are interested in pursuing a career in visual storytelling. Our work at Barron’s provides analysis and insight into the biggest news of each day and the long-term questions and effects facing the markets, economy and business worlds.
We’re interesting in aspiring visual journalists with interest, experience and enthusiasm in the following areas:
Design and layout print pages and digital storytelling opportunities
Pitch visual story ideas alongside reporters and editors
Pitch, assign and art direct illustrators for digital and print
Dive into graphics reporting and data visualizations
Conceive of and produce visual stories for social media posts
Photo research and photo illustration skills a plus
Front-end development also a plus
Barron’s is located in New York City and is currently working in a hybrid fashion. Applicants from the nearby area are preferred, but talent that exceeds proximity will strongly be considered.
