  • Responsibilities

    The Accounting Manager will be responsible to examine and identify trends and provide reporting and analysis on a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) basis. This person will facilitate the recording of transactional level activity in accordance with GAAP, and accomplish reconciliation and/or scheduling of select balance sheet and P&L accounts. Finally, the Accounting Manager will complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by management.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team and all related functions ensuring accuracy
    • Responsible for leading, coaching, training, and developing team to ensure success
    • Review of expense reports ensuring coding accuracy and compliance with policies
    • Responsible for management and oversight of Apptricity, automated expense report software
    • Perform detailed review, analysis, and reconciliation of AP/AR related balance sheet accounts
    • Responsible for the recording of transactional activity in accordance with GAAP to ensure accurate financial statements and financial reporting; includes review of AP, AR, and AMEX transactions prior to posting
    • Compile and analyze weekly performance metrics for presentation to executive management
    • Responsible for 1099 process; includes but not limited to vendor maintenance, data integrity, and creation and filing of 1099s
    • Effectively manage the relationship with both internal and external customers
    • Effectively support senior management on ad-hoc reporting and projects
    • Successfully create strategies to ensure individual and team objectives are met in a timely manner
    • Participate in annual audit to ensuring successful completion within defined timeframes
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and other practices set forth by executive management
    • Perform all other duties as assigned

    Performance Measurements:

    • Timely reporting of financial results on a monthly cycle within ten (10) business days of close
    • Provide financial metric measurement disclosure on a weekly basis
    • Compile board of directors financial packages and lender financial packages quarterly
    • Review transactional-level documentation to ensure proper matching of expense to fiscal period
    • Successful completion of annual audit in timeframes dictated by lender agreements and executive management
    • Accurate review of all transactional activity
    • Ad hoc financial reporting as required by executive management
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
    • 5-7 years relevant accounting experience
    • 3-5 years proven management experience
    • Proven financial analysis experience
    • Solid understanding of GAAP
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills (both verbal and written)
    • Effectively prioritize and organize multiple projects at one time
    • Ability to show judgment and initiative, make decisions and problem solve
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Attention to detail
    • MS Dynamics Great Plains experience preferred
    • Automated expense report software experience preferred
    • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
