    These positions are NH-04 Acquisition Test Managers / Chief Developmental Testers for defense acquisition programs who will provide functional expertise and leadership to other Integrated Product Teams, Branch Chiefs, and Functional Leads within the Program Office.

    Work includes, but is not limited to:

    • Sustain and improve test capabilities to ensure the warfighter receives the best product.
    • Acts as the primary interface with senior management and the Mission Execution Directorate concerning T&E issues.
    • Responsible to the PEO for all issues regarding T&E, to include, the planning and conduct of developmental, operational, and integrated testing of systems throughout the life cycle.
    • Serves as the Directorate’s focal point for initiatives, expert advice, and assistance for weapon system acquisition test programs and develops, implements, and monitors processes to manage the cost, schedule, conduct, and overall strategy within the various phases of the acquisition test cycle.
    • Have a strong background in formalized testing and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals, to include partner countries.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
    • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
    • Incumbent must obtain and maintain applicable security clearance.
    • This position is designated as an acquisition position covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The incumbent is required to hold Level 2 Practitioner certification in Test & Evaluation.
    • These positions are designated either Critical Acquisition Positions or Key Leadership Positions. As such, the selectee must execute a written agreement to remain in this position for at least three years.
    • Employee is required to engage in acquisition Continuous Learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning Points every 24 months.
    • An OGE‐450 “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report” must be filed by employee within 30 days of employment.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade DR/DO-02/GS-13 for NH-04, DR/DO-01/GS-11 for NH-03, or DR/DO-01/GS-11 for NH-02 (or equivalent in other pay systems).
