    AFLCMC/EN is seeking individuals for the following positions:

    NH-0861-04, Internal Aerodynamics Technical Expert
    NH-0861-04, Computational Fluid Dynamics / External Aerodynamics Technical Expert

    The Flight Mechanics Branch (AFLCMC/EZFT) provides air vehicle engineering support to all program offices in AFLCMC. The branch is home to technical experts who provide training to junior engineers, program support to engineers collocated in program offices, and airworthiness assessments. Flight mechanics engineers are assigned to program offices to support the development and testing of air vehicle systems. They determine air vehicle flight characteristics using wind tunnel, flight test and analytical / computational data. They use computational tools to build models and databases, interpret results, and assess air vehicle compliance with performance specifications and airworthiness requirements.

    Required Qualifications

    • Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
    • An engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program is required.

    Additional Information

    • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade DR/DO-02/GS-13 for NH-04, DR/DO-01/GS-11 for NH-03, or DR/DO-01/GS-11 for NH-02 (or equivalent in other pay systems).
