We are looking to begin conversations with students regarding civil internship opportunities in our Kansas City and Manhattan, KS office. We offer opportunities to work on a variety of projects with public and private clients. Areas of focus will likely be roadway, structures, and/or water resources. Duties & Responsibilities of the Intern may include: Preparation of plans, specifications, and project designs utilizing CAD and integrated design software Assisting with field assignments including inspections and work construction, occasionally requiring out-of-town travel Conducting research as necessary to project(s) Perform clerical tasks as assigned Qualifications include: Current enrollment in an undergraduate (Jr. or Sr. year preferred) Civil Engineering program Previous internship experience a plus Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Basic ability and understanding of AutoCAD Ability to work outside on foot for extended periods of time Willingness to travel to project sites, sometimes out-of-town Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Excellent organizational skills Positive attitude and good work ethic Alfred Benesch & Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity/ Affirmative Action/ Disability/ Protected Veteran Employer.
