Cupich, has more than 15,000 employees. The Vitality Coordinator Renew
My Church is a senior position within the Archdiocese of Chicago
supporting the work of Renew My Church building a new reality phase
(Phase 5). As a RMC vitality coordinator, he/ she will support the
pastoral vision of the Archbishop of Chicago (Department of Parish
Vitality and Mission). She/ he will work with a number of assigned Phase
5 parishes in close collaboration with their ministerial staff
supporting planning and the implementation of RMC initiatives. DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Intense focus on assigned to Phase 5 parishes
(likely 2-3 parishes) * Collaborates on ongoing basis with pastor and
leadership team of assigned parishes in providing support, program
management and pastoral planning. * Establishes relationships with
deans, pastors and pastoral staffs through visitation of parishes to
acquire knowledge of parish life * Participates in annual process for
prioritizing needs and determining responsibilities for follow-up. *
Orchestrates integrated and holistic support to parishes in their
efforts to offer vibrant ministry to their people. * In collaboration
with Life Long Formation Coordinator or Vicariate Parish Vitality
Coordinator serves as a consultant to Phase 5 parishes in fostering
mission vitality. * Helps parishes conduct vitality self-assessments and
holds parishes accountable for mission vitality. * Meets regularly
(weekly) with other vicariate Archdiocesan Coordinator of Parish
Vitality for support, communications and collaborative effort. * Meets
weekly with the Coordinator of Life Long Formation and the Vicariate PVC
for support, division of work, etc. * Meets bi-weekly with the Director
of the Department of Parish Vitality and Mission and other diocesan
leaders to ensure ongoing communication and clear strategy. * *
Participates in deanery and vicariate meetings when applicable to
his/her assigned parishes. REQUIREMENTS Masters Degree preferred * 3+
years with coordination experience at the parish level or project
management level. * Experience in designing and delivering strategy for
program delivery and innovation. * Team leadership experience preferred.
- Must demonstrate understanding and support for Catholic Church
teaching, missions and values. * Lay Ecclesial Ministry experience
preferred, such as Participation in Parish Transformation as a
parishioner, staff member or facilitator, participation in a formation
program offered by the Archdiocese of Chicago designed specifically for
this role and/or participation in one of the national or local
initiatives that focus on parish excellence, pastoral leadership,
governance, etc. (e.g. Amazing Parish Conference, Parish Catalyst,
Loyolas IPS Parish based initiatives). * Excellent interpersonal, oral,
and written communication skills. * Team Player with strong Conflict
Resolution skills. * Strong facilitation skills, ability to conduct open
dialogue. * Ability to relate at multiple ecclesial levels: parish,
deanery, vicariate, Archdiocesan and departmental. * Strong Microsoft
Office skills including Word and Power Point. * Strong decision-making
ability and exercising good judgment. * Other skills as deemed necessary
by local Vicar. * Bilingual English skills and fluent in written and
