  • Responsibilities

    Primary duty is to serve as a Program and Budget Analyst for the Army’s Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD.  This is a fast-paced, demanding, three-star headquarters organization.

     

    • Plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload in a high-pace and detail-oriented environment.
    • Apply extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products to develop numerous PowerPoint briefings, Excel spreadsheets, and documentation using Word and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Arrange travel using the DoD Defense Travel System (DTS) to include travel itineraries, hotel, transportation, TDY agendas, and briefing packets and ensure that vouchers are

    submitted in a timely fashion for settlement of the traveler's government travel card.

    • Assist with the extracts of Status of Funds from financial databases and reconcile financial reports as required.
    • Analyze monthly reports, utilize the data for internal reporting, and for the planning of funding increments.
    • Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
    • Analyze budgeting and accounting reports and prepare monthly, quarterly, annual budget execution reports and briefs.
    • Provide updated reports and brief all changes to Government Program Leads as requested.
    • Work with government leads to develop, track, and report on spend plans for each project.

     

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in DoD acquisition programs.
    • Financial certifications such as DAU Financial Management.
    • Proficient in DTS

    Required Skills

    • Active Secret Clearance.
    • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of Army acquisition streamlining initiatives including the use of Other Transaction Agreements (OTA).
    • Proficient in GFEBS

    Required Experience

    • 6+ years of experience as a budget / financial analyst.
    • Experience with GFEBS and other financial databases.
  • Qualifications
    • Active Secret Clearance.
    • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of Army acquisition streamlining initiatives including the use of Other Transaction Agreements (OTA).
