Stewards Individual Placement Program (SIPP) provides individuals with service and career opportunities to strengthen communities and preserve our natural resources. Participants work with federal agencies, tribal governments, and nonprofits building institutional capacity, developing community relationships, and supporting ecosystem health.

National Capital Parks - East (NACE) includes several park sites such as Anacostia Park, Capitol Hill Parks Fort Washington Park, Greenbelt Park, and various other historic and recreational areas in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. Its mission is to conserve and manage these resources for the benefit of the public while promoting education, recreation, and cultural understanding.

Discover the world of communications and public engagement with an internship at National Capital Parks - East, where you will gain hands-on experience while learning about the National Park Service. Under the mentorship of seasoned professionals, you'll develop social media campaigns, draft communications materials, and assist in organizing outreach events. What sets this internship apart is the opportunity to get on the ground experience at unique and nationally significant sites within the heart of the nation's capital. From historic landmarks to scenic recreational areas, you'll play a vital role in promoting and preserving these cultural and natural treasures.
