The Human Resources Specialist serves as an internal consultant to their assigned clusters, driving the alignment of human capital strategy to unit priorities. You will assess and anticipate HR-related needs, translate proposed and ongoing initiatives into human resource implications, and work closely with line supervisors and managers to strengthen the units human capital management capacity. You will liaise with Talent Management and other HR staff to communicate cluster needs and collaborate on effective implementation of HR strategy. * Handle key operational responsibilities such as unemployment, policies, required federal reporting, and specific HR annual processes * Serve as project team member on talent management/organizational development projects for HR and/or clients * Provide input on the plan and timeline for goal execution * Complete assigned tasks on time (or, notifying the Team Lead when a deadline is going to be missed and proposing a new deadline) * Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of cluster/unit strategic priorities, initiatives, culture and pervasive challenges * Proactively analyze trends, metrics, observations and critical incidents to develop solutions, implement initiatives and motivate change * Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning. * Partner with management and employees to improve individual work relationships, build morale, increase employee engagement, increase productivity and retention. Maintain flexibility and availability to interact with staff at all levels. * Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation. * Serve as a single point of contact for internal clients. Respond to employee questions and liaise with employee and HR specialists (compensation, benefits, recruiting, etc. * Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. * Handle information of a confidential nature and maintains confidentiality at all times. * Apply knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements to ongoing advice and counsel to business units, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance * Act as independent advisor for employees in tough situations What Will You Bring to This Role? * Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Human Resources or a related discipline. * 3-5 years of related work experience in Human Resources. * You have a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciples including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, and performance management. * You have excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills. * Your client management and negotiation skills are exceptional. * You have strong business literacy skills. * You have effective conflict management skills. * You are an excellent verbal and written communicator. * You have strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills. * You have outstanding project management skills with experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from envisioning through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors and vendors. * You are highly organized and have a meticulous attention to detail. * You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel & PowerPoint. If a bachelors degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
