    Internship: Human Resources- Total Rewards Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMCs) Total Rewards function strives to continuously ensure the benefit offerings provided attract, retain, develop and engage the stellar employee base necessary to continue the mission of the Association. The collaborative efforts of the Benefits and Compensation teams result in modern, competitive and desirable options to sustain an above average professional and personal experience for our employees. The Total Rewards intern will assist in the development of education and promotion of our strategy and program components. The Total Rewards Team is the core of employee benefits at the AAMC. Our vast responsibility covers health and welfare benefits, compensation, financial security, employee recognition, and retirement savings. We seek to hire qualified professionals who share the AAMCs core values and mission. Also, by working in partnership with hiring managers and the professional community, we look to expand our network and leverage relationships to promote the AAMC brand. Our close knit team works collaboratively, sharing knowledge and expertise, and supports each other to create an educated, fun and supportive environment. The incumbent will learn: * The art of building and developing networks within the medical education and non-profit arenas, * Communication skills will be challenged and improved by the end of the intern term based on frequency and feedback, * Develop an understanding of the importance of both internal and external communication planning, and * Gain a better perspective on the Human Resources functions and responsibilities more strategic, less tactical, more than just hiring and firing, filing paperwork, and giving employees a platform to complain. Responsibilities: * Communications Planning Develop one calendar of events for Total Rewards communications that can be used as a resource when planning future internal communications, events and organization-wide initiatives. Build foundation of communication schedule. * Marketing Campaign Engage with our vendor partners to research programming options, content and collateral that enhance the employee experience with each service. Work with our internal communications group to develop a visual marketing campaign to advertise these options. Develop an annual schedule to launch each marketing campaign. * Intranet Page Reorganization Take lead in determining how to organize Benefit information on the intranet with the goal of maximizing accessibility of information and ease of navigation. Involves getting familiar with basic programming functions using Dreamweaver. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in college or university studies; preferably Business or Marketing major with strong communication and writing skills, excellent time management skills, business acumen and advanced knowledge of MS Office. If a bachelors degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
