Role Summary: The Field Support will report to thestore manager and will play an important role servicing customers at work site,in and around the area. ** ** Essential Responsibilities: ** ** In the role of the Field ServiceSupport 8 you will: * Pick-up and delivery of pumps while following establishedguidelines for transportation. * Tear down and repair of bottom hole pumps, inspection ofpumps for corrosion wear and pitting, air testing, pump out procedures used inthe repairs * Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health &Safety procedures * Perform general store, shipping, receiving and counterduties as assigned by the Store Manager or Senior Store man. * Maintain warehouse in an orderly manner. * Preform other duties as assigned. * Ability to safely deploy to remotegeographic assignment locations onshore and offshore locations with limitedaccess to medical care, which may require 4 hours (or more) travel time to reachsecondary level medical care. Qualifications/Requirements: * High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school orinstitution * Minimum 6 months experience in services, construction,maintenance, manufacturing shop, warehouse working on mechanical equipment,engines, pumps, or mechanical assemblies, associated or used in the oil andgas, power, water, industrial applications. * Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required. * Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching,bending and other physical activities. * Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day,primarily standing and sitting, as required. * Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. * Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time. * To the extent that you are applying for a position thatrequires you to operate a Baker Hughes owned /leased or rented vehicle for companybusiness, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record. * Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. * Undergo Periodic fitness for dutytests, examinations, and/or certifications will be required for onshore/offshoreremote location assignments Add Eligibility Requirement Baker Hughes will only employ thosewho are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
