The Floor Hand works under the direct supervision of the Rig Superintendent and Driller to carry out all assigned job duties. Essential Responsibilities: QHSE RESPONSIBLITIES: * Conducts operations in a safe manner according to BHGE policies and procedures. * Observes proper rig operating procedures, noting unsafe practices. * Plays an active part in QHSE meetings, tool box meetings and all other company safety management systems. * Is proficient in STOP for employees and uses its techniques. * Pays particular attention to the safety of all floor crews fingers and hands * Assist the Driller in operations on the drill floor. * Provides manual labor to operate tongs and other wrenches for making up or breaking out joints of pipe, set and pull slips, rack pipe, stab pipe and perform other tasks necessary to drill a well. * Perform preventive and planned maintenance on drilling equipment. * Assists in repair of drilling equipment. * Complete the companys certification requirements as per BHGE training manual * Keeps drill floor and tools clean and organized. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Driller such as assist in slipping and cutting of drill line, preparing casing, etc. * Operate air hoist, pipe spinner when applicable. * Forms part of well control team during shut-in procedures as per the BHGE well control manual. * Carries out regular housekeeping, painting and routine maintenance of drill floor and drilling equipment.

• Assist in specialized tasks such as rigging up, nippling up, running casing or other tasks as directed by the Driller. * Reports any irregularities or safety hazards to supervisor * Maintains floor tools, casing tools and various types of subs. * Works in a safe and conscientious manner to ensure personal safety and the safety of fellow crew members. Qualifications/Requirements: * High School Diploma * Must have 0 to 6 months experience as a Roustabout / Floor Hand or related experience * Must be able to work outside 50% plus of the time * Strong mechanical aptitude * Basic computer skills Desired Characteristics: * Teamwork * Follow Safe Work Procedures * Rig experience **Locations: ** ** ** 11340 FM 2920 Rd.
