Job Overview

This job posting will be used to hire qualified veterans in the below technician positions (GS and Lab Demo) with the main objective of allowing veterans the ability to transition their unique military skills to a civilian position within the laboratory by utilizing the Veteran Technician Direct Hire Authority. This is a direct hire authority for Department of Defense’s Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratories (STRLs).

These positions may include permanent, modified term, or flexible length term vacancies with a full-time or part-time work schedule at various locations.

• If appointed to a Lab Demo position, Modified or Flexible Length and Renewable Flexible Term appointment may be extended or noncompetitively converted to a career appointment.
• Travel allowance, incentives and/or student loan repayment may or may not be offered.

Required Qualifications

• DD-214 or Statement of Service from candidate with character of service to document veteran status or a certification stating you are expected to be honorably discharged or released from active duty within 120 days after the date of submission.
